This Privacy Policy governs your use of the software application “Vet Channelling Service” PetDoc.LK represents a software application that aggregates Veterinary hospitals and clinics for pet owners to make an appointment that are presented under the mobile Application PetDoc.LK and via our website https://www.petdoc.lk (collectively called as our “App”). And is part of Talco Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, a registered company in Sri Lanka bearing business registration PV00241783. We take our users’ privacy seriously and understand that you entrust us with your personal information, reviews as well as search data. We give the highest priority to securing your data. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you, or that you may provide, in connection with your access to or use of

  • Our mobile application “PetDoc.LK” or any other websites (including www.petdoc.lk) operated by us or our affiliates that link to or otherwise reference that they are subject to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “App”)

  • Our PetDoc.LK -branded mobile application (including websites) that link to or otherwise reference that they are subject to this Privacy Policy (“Applications”)

  • available by or on behalf of us through the App and other related sites that may be incorporated on third party websites or services (clauses (i), (ii) and (iii), collectively, the “Vet Channelling Services”), and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. Without limiting the foregoing, this Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through direct App use, e-mail, text and other electronic communications between you and PetDoc.LK.

PetDoc.LK may NOT include links to third-party websites, applications and/or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by or through any such third-party websites or services, and the collection and use of your information by such third-party websites and services are governed by the privacy policies, if any, of such third-parties. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use any of PetDoc.LK Services. By accessing or using PetDoc.LK, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time, and such changes will be notified via “PetDoc.lk” mobile application and website (see Section 9).

2. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

This Application obtains the information you provide when you download and register PetDoc.LK Application. However, registration to our application is optional. We collect several types of information from and about users of PetDoc.LK, including information

  • You agree that PetDoc.LK at its sole discretion may revise these General Terms and Conditions at any time without assigning any reasons therefore and you agree to be bound by all such revisions made by PetDoc.LK from time to time. It is your responsibility to periodically review the latest version of the General Terms and Conditions uploaded on the PetDoc.LK official website (www.petdoc.lk) (the ‘Website’) to stay informed of updates and revisions. You undertake to reread the General Terms and Conditions on the Website on a regular basis. You will be subject to, and will be deemed to have been made aware of and to have accepted, the changes in any revised General Terms and Conditions by your continued use of the Services after the date such revised General Terms and Conditions are posted. You hereby waive any right to receive specific notice of such changes/revisions. If you do not accept the changes, you should not use the Services

  • That is about you but individually does not identify you, such as your personal preferences, and your interactions with Vet Channelling Services.

  • About your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our App/Site and other related Vet Channelling Services and usage details. We collect this information: Directly from you when you provide it to us.

  • Automatically as you interact with or otherwise use Vet Channelling Services (including usage details, IP addresses and information collected through cookies and other accepted tracking technologies), such as when you: Search for hospitals, availability of sessions, and et al;

3. Information You Provide to Us

The information we collect on or through PetDoc.LK may include: Information that you provide by filling in forms on our App/Site. This includes account and profile information you provide when registering for (or updating) a member account to use any Vet Channelling Services, downloading/subscribing for an application, posting material or requesting further services. Records and copies of your email, text and electronic communications, if you contact us. Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

4. How We Use Your Information

To monitor, process and record feature requests, and submission of reviews. To communicate with you, and to provide additional information that may be of interest to you, about the company (including Vet Channelling Services and our other pet products and services) and offers, promotions and information offered on or through Vet Channelling Services. To provide you with other information, products or services that you request from us. To provide you with customer support, technical support, administrative, account, and security notices, including notice of changes to our Terms of Use (TOU) or Privacy Policy or the products or services that we offer. To conduct our administrative and internal business operations. To fulfil any other purpose for which you provide it. To comply with our obligations, as determined by us in good faith, under applicable law. To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us. In any other way, we may describe when you provide the information. For any other purposes with your consent, we may use your information to contact you (including via email, text or other electronic communications) about products or services of the Company and/or offers, promotions and information offered on or through Vet Channelling Services that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information for such promotional purposes, see Section 6 (Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information). We may use the information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements (of pet products & accessories) to our advertisers’ target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement / notification, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may have to share with the parties listed below for the purposes specified in ‘Purpose of collection and processing’: To any party, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; To relevant security or law enforcement agencies, provided a valid court order or an authorised legal request is submitted to us, for prevention / detection of crime or prosecution of such offenders; Upon request of government institution, agencies or authorities; To any party for the performance of Vet Channelling services to customers; To any party that act as PetDoc.LK’s payment channels, including but not limited to, where applicable to validate your information, as and when required; In the event that Vet Channelling, any division or Service undergoes re-organization or are sold to a third party, in which any of your Personal Information we hold may be transferred to the re-organized entity or third party subject to the principles in this Privacy Policy; and To protect PetDoc.LK’s vital interests. We require all of our third parties to protect your personal information in adherence to local legal regulations and for specified purposes.

6. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

If you do not wish to have your e-mail address used by the Company to promote our own or thirdparty products, services or other offerings, you can opt-out by sending us notifications stating your request to info@petdoc.lk. In addition, if we have sent you a notification, you may unsubscribe or optout of future notification distributions by following the procedures described in that email. We will respond to your request within 14 days from the date you contacted us. Please note that this opt-out does not apply to information provided to the Company as a result of a purchase, product service experience or other transaction.

7. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the petdoc.lk web application and visiting your account settings (Member Login). You also may send us an e-mail at info@petdoc.lk to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. We will respond to your request within 14 days from the date you contacted us.

8. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of personal information provided to or stored by us and are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures with respect to PetDoc.LK Channelling Services or our systems. The safety and security of your information also depend on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain portions of PetDoc.LK Channelling Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you via e-mail to the e-mail address specified in your account and/or through a notice on the App/Site prior to the change becoming effective. The date the Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable e-mail address for you, and for periodically visiting this Privacy Policy to check for any changes. Your continued use of PetDoc.LK Vet Channelling Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes.

GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the substantive Laws of Sri Lanka.

You have the right to verify and access Personal Information held us about you and correct any inaccuracies. You have the right to ask us not to process your Personal Information for direct marketing purposes, as we do NOT pass out your personal information to any third parties. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by indicating that you do not consent to direct marketing at the point at which we collect your Personal Information. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Information is accurate. To help us do this, please notify us of any changes to your Personal Information.
